Changing Structures and Roles to Foster Transformation
“You can’t change without changing!” I’ve said this phrase hundreds of times in my life as a leader… and to myself! Of course, it’s true, but it’s also difficult. Almost everyone appreciates change; until you yourself have to change! To learn something new, to unlearn a deeply rooted habit, or to find yourself in the disequilibrium of transition; well, that’s hard.
At TeachBeyond, we believe wholeheartedly in Holy Spirit inspired transformation, specifically in transformational education. We resonate deeply with these words in Colossians 1:6 (NLT) “This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.” This is our mission as TeachBeyond, to be transformed and transformational.
The Mission Engagement Team (MET) has been formed to support TeachBeyond members as they live and serve in TeachBeyond. As Vice President: Mission Engagement, I’m excited to introduce you to this team of people, who are here to serve you on your transformational journey.
- Brian Delamont – Vice President: Mission Engagement, Spiritual Development, Coaching
- Mark Giebink – Global Member Care Director
- Steve Neumann – Member Development Director
- Matt Coe – Global Leadership Network Coordinator
- Jennifer Rymer – Leadership and Team Development Director (March 2022)
- Darlene Delamont – Executive Assistant: Mission Engagement
Mission Engagement is the coming together of many existing services or ministries within TeachBeyond. Some of these services are “come alongside” ministries like Member Care and Member Development. (You will continue to connect with Member Care through Mark Giebink as our Global Member Care Director and the local Member Care Team.) Other services are equipping services, like Leadership Development, Coaching and Spiritual Development. Again, you’ll continue to access these tools for growth through each of the leaders listed.
The Mission Engagement Team reflects an ever-increasing desire within TeachBeyond, to maximize the support and development of every TeachBeyond member. From practical leadership training, to sharing best practices, to being there in life’s most difficult moments, we want to be globally connected and locally empowered.
In the future, you’ll see more opportunities to develop your leadership, to have meaningful conversations about your own personal and professional development, and to connect with a Mission-shaped Community to deepen your gospel worldview. You’ll have access to coaching and support, be encouraged to pray together and to become all that God intends. I’m thankful for this team of leaders, and for the teams they give leadership to. Please feel free to reach out to myself (bdelamont@teachbeyond.org) or anyone on the team anytime, as we continue to be changed and transformed.
