Choral/Drama Teacher

Teaching choir and teaching drama at our small school are both part time positions, but could be a full time position if combined. We would like someone who is able to teach choir for K-8 students and then offer both choir and drama classes at the high school level. We have both a drama room and a music room that can be used for classes.

Part of the expectation of this position is that there would be a performance component. It would be expected that the choirs give a performance to the school community at least twice a year and that the drama class have a production for the community at least once a year.

Qualifications:

• Strong Christian Faith: A commitment to serving and guiding in a Christ-centered setting.
• Relevant Skills & Experience: Competence in your area of expertise and a desire to serve through your work. Most positions require a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Heart for Service: A genuine desire to make a difference in students’ lives while supporting the work families are doing in Papua.
• Flexibility: An ability to do the unexpected.
• Donor–Supported Team Members: A willingness to develop a financial and prayer partnership team to provide the support needed to sustain your ministry.
• Degree: All positions require a bachelor’s degree or higher.The school has subsidized, fully furnished housing, available for teachers on campus.
