HS Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver chemistry lessons that are engaging, inquiry-based, and lab-focused.
  • Ensure safe and effective laboratory instruction and management.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
  • Use technology and simulations to enhance instruction.
  • Integrate a Christian worldview into teaching.
  • Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular STEM activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Education
  • Valid teaching certification/licensure in secondary science or chemistry (or ability to obtain).
  • Prior teaching experience at secondary level preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and lab instruction.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and integrate technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate a Christian worldview.
  • Agreement with and commitment to the school’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
