MS/HS Bible Teacher
Teach biblical truth with clarity and conviction, integrate faith across learning experiences, model Christ-like character, and actively contribute to a Christ-centered school culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement yearlong, unit, and lesson plans for Bible instruction across assigned grade levels.
- Teach Scripture in an engaging, age-appropriate manner that fosters understanding and application of biblical principles.
- Encourage students’ spiritual growth through prayer, discussion, and reflection on God’s Word.
- Integrate biblical worldview principles into broader school life and collaborate with other teachers to support faith integration.
- Assess student understanding of biblical content and spiritual development through appropriate evaluation methods.
- Maintain a classroom environment that promotes respect, spiritual formation, and a love for learning.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students, modeling Christian character and values.
- Participate in chapels, devotions, school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership regarding student progress and spiritual growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Theology, Christian Education, or a related field preferred.
- Teaching certification/licensure (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Bible or working in Christian education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Scripture and ability to communicate biblical truths effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal spiritual growth and Christian discipleship.
- Ability to engage students of varying ages and learning styles.
- Strong classroom management and relational skills.
- Agreement with and commitment to the school’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
