National Director - Romania

The National Director will provide direct leadership and oversight to the growth, development, implementation, and monitoring of TeachBeyond Romania. The National Director will lead and represent TeachBeyond Romania in alignment with TeachBeyond Global’s mission and strategic goals. The role involves building partnerships with ministries and leaders in Romania and neighboring countries, while also advocating for Romania within TeachBeyond’s global community.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Education, Social Services, Theology, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
• Proven leadership and administrative skills, preferably within a faith-based, non-profit, or educational context
• Experience in project management, team leadership, and cross-cultural missions (2+ years preferred)
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Fluency in Romanian is required, with English proficiency for global collaboration
• Mature Christian committed to TeachBeyond’s vision, values, and Statement of Faith, with a passion for transformational education

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and represent TeachBeyond Romania in alignment with TeachBeyond Global’s mission and strategic goals
• Strengthen and oversee projects
• Develop the national board
• Ensure compliance with local laws
• Manage financial accountability through budgeting and reporting
• Build partnerships with ministries and leaders in Romania and neighboring countries, while also advocating for Romania within TeachBeyond’s global community
• Support and develop teams and leaders through training, member care, conflict resolution, and strategic planning
• Live out TeachBeyond’s vision, fostering lasting impact through education, and ensuring the ministry in Romania thrives and grows.

Reports to: Europe Regional Vice President | TeachBeyond Global and Board Chairman | TeachBeyond Romania Board 

Supervises: Team leaders, project leaders, and all members not under a specific team or project in Romania

Relates to: Regional Council (member); National Board; Global Leadership Council (member); Member Council; partner projects 

Location: This position is required to live within Romania

Status: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week (with long-term outcome to become full-time)
