Secondary Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary School Mathematics Teacher to join our esteemed team of educators. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mathematics education in line with the British curriculum, inspiring students to develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Purpose of the Post: To provide quality education within the structure and emphasis of the approved curriculum for Grace in ways that promote the principles of excellence in the provision of Christian education in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement and evaluate classroom programmes that:
  • Aim to meet the individual needs of each child, whether physical, mental, social or spritual.
  • Reflect the aims of the school modified English National Curriculum.
• Provide an interesting and varied programme that covers all areas of the school curriculum
• Keep accurate records, evaluate children’s progress regularly and provide reports parents.
• Demonstrate care and concern for children’s welfare and provide a happy and secure school environment.
• Act as an appropriate role model for children in that individual lifestyle reflect an application of Biblical principles, this requires that ability to express individual christian faith in practical ways.
• Encourage children to strive for their personal best in achievement and behaviour in all school activities.
• Work cooperatively in a team spirit and support other staff members and take a full part in school activities.
• Demonstrate sound relationships with all members of the school community, teaching colleagues, national staff, parents and board members.
• Where possible, to endeavour to keep up to date with professional educational developments.
• Lead christian education assemblies on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Valid teaching certification/licence (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification)
• A passion for serving God through teaching
• Adhere to our Statement of Faith
• 2+ years experience working in a school setting (preferred)
• Understanding of the English National Curriculum (preferred)
